- The maximum number of players you may keep each season is 2.
- You may keep any player that is on your roster at the end of the season.
- You may only keep one player per position.
- No player drafted or kept in the first two rounds of the previous draft may be kept again.
- The cost of keeping a player will be your draft pick two rounds higher than the round the player was selected the previous year.
- Example: To keep a player who was drafted in the 4th round last year, it will cost your 2nd round pick to keep him this year.
- Players undrafted the previous season will cost a 9th round pick to keep. An additional undrafted player will cost a 7th round pick.
- Players who are dropped after being drafted will retain their draft value. The team that has the player on their roster at the end of the season owns the rights to keep them the following year for the appropriate draft pick value.
- Example: A RB is drafted in the 5rd round. He is dropped after an injury. The following year he will cost a 3rd round pick to keep if he is re-added to a roster before the end of the season.
- Players who are traded during and after the season are assessed an additional 1 round penalty on their keeper value.
- Example: A WR is drafted in the 5rd round. He is traded mid-season. The following year he will cost a 2nd round pick to keep.
- You may only give up one pick per round. If you happen to have 2 players on your roster that were drafted in the same round the previous year (through trades or transactions), you may only keep one of them. The only exception to this rule is a waiver wire pickup who you may keep at the cost of a 7th round pick.
- Example: You want to keep your 11th round pick from last year and waiver wire pickup from mid-season. You may keep both players in exchange for your 9th round and 7th round picks.
- Keepers must be submitted two days before the draft.
- In the event of a season-ending injury to a kept player between submittal and draft day another player may kept or the draft pick returned.
- No player may be kept on a roster for more than 3 consecutive seasons. This rule also applies to traded players.
- Example: Season 1 drafted/picked up & on roster at end of season, then kept for season 2, kept for season 3.
Things to note:
- Your week 17 roster will be locked following the final game of the season. This will be the official roster from which you can keep players. You may not add/drop players following week 17.
- You will have your draft position before you are required to submit your keeper choices for the following year.
- Teams that leave/join the league will assume the team of the previous player.
- In the event of league contraction, players from the teams who have left will go back into the pool.
- In the event of league expansion, there will be no "expansion draft." New players may elect to keep a single player from the free agent pool. Should two expansion players wish to keep the same player a coin flip will determine which team gets the player.
